I used to be all over the place with Rusty Bodkins, and the archery work took me to castles and historic sites from Inverness to Dumfries, and North Berwick to Bute.
However, in 2015 I was lucky to get the chance to also give archery themed presentation talks at Edinburgh Castle. It was just a bit too busy for shooting arrows around, but as the photos show, I could be found wandering about clutching a bow. It's great fun working at the castle - as the premier tourist destination in Scotland it draws visitors from all over the planet, and is pretty much always busy.
2020 came along and it all got stood down for a while. Living history is a big part of my life and I wondered if things would ever get back to normal. They did gradually, and 2024 saw a proper return. I decided at that point that I was hanging up the participation side of things for good, and just focusing on the presentations at Edinburgh.
So, 2025 sees a freshening up, and the beginning of new adventures in living history! Click CHARACTERS for more information.
